Detailed Review
Buffer is designed to make social media posting effortless. Its core functionality allows marketers to schedule posts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn from one dashboard. The tool includes post analytics, engagement tracking, and a collaborative workflow for teams.
For digital marketers, Buffer shines in content distribution. It lacks some of the AI-driven automation features of Sprout Social, but its simplicity makes it ideal for teams that want a reliable scheduling system without extra complexity. The free plan is good for small users, but larger teams will find its paid plans necessary for deeper analytics and team collaboration.
Our Take
As part of the 5communities5weeks project we needed to post a lot on social media. Buffer has a free pricing model where it allows you to schedule up to 10 posts in 3 channels. Once a post is published it frees that slot so you can publish another one. Say 5 posts go live, well now you will have 5 free slots to program posts. Needless to say that we are Buffer users and so far pretty happy about it. Could it be better? Yes but not for free. For free is the best that it gets.
